Job Summary
The Lead Data Engineer is responsible for managing all imaging data, metadata, and tools for interacting with such data. This role is critical for the timely development of machine learning models and the evaluation of clinical products. This person will collaborate closely with the engineering, data science, and deployment teams to fulfill DeepHealth’s mission
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and maintain data pipelines and databases.
- Lead data curation efforts and ensure the quality of datasets.
- Manage data-related software systems.
- Maintain libraries and repositories for data processing and management.
- Manage documentation for datasets and data manipulation tools.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- At least five (5) years of data management experience.
- Expertise in Python (expert in pandas preferred).
- Familiarity with database languages and big data tools.
- Experience with imaging data (medical image data preferred).
- Strong individual team contributor and collaborator.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Physical Demands
This position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, or feeling, speaking, listening, and high-level cognitive thinking. Must be able to use a computer and other office machinery including copiers, scanners, and computer software. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally. The position requires the ability to travel (~20% of the time), drive a vehicle, and utilize other forms of transportation.
